OCAD U Visual Resources & Special Collections, including the University Archives, has successfully relocated to the 8th floor at 230 Richmond St. W. (RHB). We continue to offer the following services:

Searching for Images?

The OCAD U image library is accessed through Artstor alongside the licensed images from Artstor’s Digital Image Library:

New image content in Artstor:

"More images from the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto, ON Canada)"

Artstor and the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) are now sharing approximately 180 additional images from the Gallery’s permanent collection in the Digital Library, bringing the total to approximately 500.

'An Illustrators' Archive'

Museum of the StreetThe show, Museum of the Street: An Exhibition of 50 Years of Toronto Illustration at John B. Aird Gallery, came to the University Archives with their research questions about local illustrators with connections to OCAD U...and we answered them using archival documents and photos. Deemed an 'Illustrators' Archive Project', the show features a number of OCA, OCAD, and OCAD U instructors including: Huntley Brown, Ken Dallison, Roger Hill, Gerry Sevier, Doug Panton and more! The exhibition is on until February 5th. For more information visit
